Transitioning to Green Law Enforcement - COP28 Side Event
The International Initiative of Law Enforcement for Climate (I2LEC) united the global law enforcement community at COP28 to discuss and promote the transition to green law enforcement.
This panel discussion explored how global law enforcement can advance climate action. Organized by I2LEC in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Interior and UNODC, the event brought together influential voices to examine opportunities and challenges in supporting the transition toward environmentally sustainable policing practices and operations.
This marked the first time law enforcement participated in a climate summit, featuring representatives from UNODC, INTERPOL, Esri, and other agencies.
